Forgive me if I've missed it somewhere, but how does one sell/trade cards? I saw in the 'upgrade' area an option to sell cards for a couple-few gold, but when I attempted got told that I could not because my card was tied to my account? Tried going into the 'trade' area, but found that the button doesn't seem to work.

That's how you sell cards, yes. However, you aren't allowed to sell the cards you get at the beginning or that you get from quest rewards; you can only sell cards you get from bought packs.
