Decks / Gutter Cardinal

Did an un-upped deck for Septima's contest, then kept refining it.

Here's what I've gotten to so far:

- Time and Gravity are in demand early (for DScorp + Momentum) and Time remains in high demand for Egg/Hatch. Might need another Gravity sink.
- Entropy is in demand for GGeese, but use falls off. Could use another sink.
- Aether feels well-paced with Lobo and DShields.
- Random quanta from Mark + Metamorph (on self) are usually enough for a few turns of random ability use which Hatch can give.

The card I'd replace would be Eternity -- it's useful and has saved me, but it just exacerbates my Time quanta demand issue.

Thoughts?

Game Suggestions / Spammy Chat Users

There are some people (or one person?) spamming Chat with very long strings that make it unusable for normal chatting.

Not sure how to report people, but just check string length of recent posts and it should be obvious.

UI suggestion:
- Make chat posts auto-hide remainder after some length, and expand / shrink on click
- Make it easy to ignore / un-ignore people on Chat

It's pretty simple and fairly fast. You hide behind a GeoDiss while your Momentum'd multi-Envenom'd Scorpion Claws inflict a lot of poison damage.

It's draw-dependent but when it loses, it does that pretty fast too.

Might be the most profitable deck I've made yet.

Advice very welcome.

Tried fooling around with the Reaper / Infected / Skeleton Axe sample, adding Graveyard and a few other cards.

When Graveyard is on my field, the Reaper used on an Infected results in a single 2|2 skeleton.

When Graveyard is NOT in play, the Reaper used on an Infected results in a single 8|8 skeleton.

Ideally I would like to see Graveyard + Reaper result in two skeletons (both 8|8 and 2|2).

The cat is sick and very fast.

Key insight is that poison ticks on attack, so a multi-attacker can die several times, inflicting poison on the opponent each time.

It's not fast enough for Champion, nor is it consistent enough to grind Mages.

Looking to improve, any ideas?

General Game Discussion / "First past the post" full text?

"Win with non-positive HP, or foe loses from damage..."

Foe losing from damage seems like a basic win condition, so I'm guessing there's more text hidden behind the victory card.

What is the full text? And what's the technical meaning behind the two cases?

Fixed Bugs / AI will not take its first turn ("Commoner Ariiel")

- Restarted computer.
- Restore browser history.
- Hit "Commoner" button on newly restored oEtG page.
- Game starts, AI does not finish its turn, game is hung.

It's a new game, with no stack trace nor error message. It's where my account should currently be sitting. Not sure what else I can report -- the AI is "Commoner Ariiel".

Would it help if I left my account as-is (did not reload the page) for a while?

Poison seems to damage a creature when the creature attacks.

So an Adrenaline'd Black Cat (with poison and Epidemic) can die several times per action, delivering its infectious corpse to your opponent in tripli-cat or quadrupli-cat.

This might be a fun concept for a Spiritual deck.

If my Embezzle'd Hognose hits 4x, but the target had only one card slot available in his hand, what happens?

How many cards are removed from the target's deck?

Air / Stormshield Buff

Stormshield should also burn in-deck copies of itself, as well as in-deck pillars.

Otherwise the future copies of itself are worthless.


For extra danger, perhaps allow it to burn in-deck copies of any Shield.

New Card Suggestions / Writ of Valor (spell)

Writ of Valor (spell) 7 :light

Targets one of your creatures and creates a Permanent (Monument of Valor). Can target immaterial creatures.

Creature's active ability is overwritten by Valor: while the associated Monument of Valor exists, this creature attacks every time any of your creatures dies.

Game Suggestions / Overkill Bonus

I don't like how Double Kill and Last Leg seem to always happen together.

Suggestion:

- Increase Last Leg bonus a bit to compensate for changing Double Kill.

- Double Kill now counts from starting HP, not final HP. This means you would need to hit -100 HP to get the bonus in a Commoner game, -150 HP in a Champion game, etc. Even if the AI is spamming Magma and Shards of Divinity, you only need to worry about the starting HP.


Then add a other few watermark bonuses which also count from starting XP:

- Double Tap (-20% starting hp)

- Overkill (-50% starting hp)


The result should be that Double Kill is no longer trivial when you go for Last Leg, and there are a few rewards for excessive damage which all stack.
