Fixed Bugs / Ferro Golem discards cards until it finds a weapon/shield
« on: August 03, 2015, 03:11:36 pm »
Or at least that's what I assume happens since I just saw my cards go from 8 to 2 and keep decking out a handful of turns in.

If this is intentional the description should probably mention it.

E: Make that 14. Also it discards all your remaining cards if you don't have a weapon/shield.

Fixed Bugs / Frozen permanents keep working for the most part.

Heat mirrors keep pooping out sparks, shields still block etc. I'm not really sure what doesn't work except weapons. Actives maybe?

Fixed Bugs / Vanishing minotaur
« on: August 03, 2015, 12:25:20 pm »
Accidentally clicked on a minotaur and it vanished. At least I'm fairly sure that's what happened. Got an error message anyway.

Spoiler for Hidden:

E: It happened again. Didn't see a cow disappear though.

Spoiler for Hidden:

E2: Actually I'm fairly sure this has nothing to do with minotaurs or vanishing. I keep getting this error in almost every match.

ReferenceError: Cards is not defined, http://etg.dek.im/etgify.js, 1592, 39, ReferenceError: Cards is not defined

Spoiler for Hidden:

Pressing "cancel" (lolwut?) oddly enough causes the game to go on. Well, sort of. I can still play and draw but the AI doesn't seem to do anything.

Also the endless has some serious trouble against stall decks with purify and magma (or stoneskin I guess). Once you sit at 500maxhp and couple hundred regen / turn it often can't kill you even after filling the board and the opposite is true as well more or less. I doubt even a deck filled with black cats, epidemics and plagues could chew down 2^32 hp in a reasonable timeframe.

Decks / Inertial Swallow [Demigod]
« on: June 07, 2015, 12:45:24 pm »
Credits should mostly go to the inventor of the original Swallow.

Inertial Swallow (Demigod)
0356802752066r00574q01n4q0374d02n520374b01n4b0174u017gq01ngq017hi02nhi018pl

Most if not all of you are probably familiar with the original swallow and I wouldn't have bothered making this thread if it wasn't for the fact I'm amazed by how efficient this deck is in farming Dgs, it competes and could possibly even outperform minomare in OUEI and it certainly isn't as boring to play.

So what does this deck do differently? It drops pillars, water mark and nymph tears in favor of lockets, inertia and grav nymphs (as those are realistically acquirable now). This gives you much better quanta generation. Now it's entirely possible to have a grav nymph spamming black hole every turn from turn 2 or 3 onwards whereas previously grav nymph was mostly luxury you'd rarely get out at all. It also adds brawl for versatility and additional $ via bonuses.

Usage instructions:

Preferably you want at least one locket and one inertia in your starting hand, although just a locket works too. Once you have one of each out use the locket every turn to create quanta via inertia. After selecting the locket you can quickly press 1-8 (number of card) or s (your mark) to create quanta of the desired type, most of the time you'll be creating grav quanta but as soon as you have a purify or SoPa in your hand create 2-3 water quanta ASAP and get the SoPa out.

With the grav quanta use SoFos for permanent destruction and tanking via gpull, otys + SoPa for CC and grav nymphs for healing + quanta denial. Brawl is mostly a finisher but you can also use it as CC.

Optimally you want to keep a SoPa up until you have no cards left in your deck, use grav nymphs to heal to full and then pop brawl for an instant kill. This way you get waiter (no cards left in deck), one-turn kill (100% -> 0 in one turn, assuming no damage done previously), mid-turn (brawl is a spell) and elemental mastery. The deck has no pillars so you'll get a bunch of other bonuses as well, against many Dgs it's far from unrealistic to get 400-600 almost every time + an upped card.

Tips & hints:

- Gpull works both ways, if you can't eat a creature just swarm it to death instead.
- Keeping some opponent's creatures alive to smack your SoFo might allow you to destroy more permanents.
- You can eat your own creatures if you can't draw a SoPa, lots of Dgs spam 5 hp creatures like crusaders and thugs. The deck contains multiple copies of each creature, losing one SoFo is easily worth eating a bunch of potentially pulverizing crusaders.
- Brawl works through SoPa, sundial, freeze, you name it.
- Dgs with antimatter avoid using AM while your SoPa is up, once your total damage hits 100 use brawl (watch out for blocking creatures!), sac your SoPa and watch them explode.
- Unless you really need the BH/PC don't turn your SoFos into black holes.
- If your opponent has water permanents/creatures/mark you can target those with lockets so you can get your SoPa/purify out as soon as you draw it. Note that this doesn't trigger inertia.
- Lockets can be used to pop Atlantis' protection.

Spoiler for Breakdown by Dg:
(Note that in this context 1 turn KO refers to waiting until you have no cards left in your deck and dropping your opponent from full HP with brawl, or a combination of brawl + normal attack. Former gets you mid-turn bonus.)

Akan: Unless he gets really early unstable gases/fire storms and ends up blowing your SoFos not a whole lot he can do. Easy (to 1 turn KO).

Antiaverage: While he probably won't kill you a combination of pandemonium + butterfly effect can delay you long enough you'll end up decking out. IMPORTANT: Don't nuke your SoPa until you can kill him on your current turn - that way you should avoid his antimatters. Brawl halves the required damage assuming no creatures are blocking you. Unpredictable. Either you 1 turn KO him or you lose.

Anubis: Bloodsuckers really like infecting your GP'd SoFo for some reason. Rest depends pretty much on how badly your otys get infected, cloak and steal are annoying but shouldn't be gamechanging. Try to save at least one purify for otys so they can eat more bloodsuckers. You might want to keep a skeleton or two alive so your GP'd SoFo can keep nuking his boneyards, cloaks, bone walls or whatever. Medium, bone wall is a PITA so odds are you can't 1 turn KO.

Atomsk: Barring crappy draws (including all your inertias getting stolen...) fairly straightforward. Has some burst potential so keep that GP'd SoFo topped up. And eat the damn towers or he'll steal everything. Easy (to 1 turn KO).

Bernoulli: Conveniently lowers everything to 1hp so you don't even need SoPa to eat things with your otys. Might just utterly obliterate you on the first turn or two. Easy (to 1 turn KO).

Cardinal: Fractal might turn the game around. Make sure you have a SoFo capable of eating hourglasses available all the time. Eat some of the towers so you can quanta lock him. Easy, time barrier makes 1 turn KO somewhat difficult though.

Gobannus: As usual, either he burns all your cards on turn 1 or loses. Easy (to 1 turn KO).

Halwn: Plagues (+ epidemic) might end up killing you. Medium-hard, don't attempt a 1 turn KO, just get him down asap.

Higgs: Can throw crazy mad amounts of damage out early and prevent you from playing your SoFo by having an unstable gas up. Magma makes your otys sad. Easy-Medium, if you attempt to 1 turn KO him keep in mind he might draw a SoBra and deck you out.

Hydrax: Lots of damage and ricochet freeze is nasty, it can turn a "won" game around at the last second. It helps to keep in mind brawl works through freeze so you can use it to kill his crusaders if SoPa has buffed your creatures enough.

Janus: Short of fractal has no CC so an early oty should be a more or less guaranteed win. Easy (to 1 turn KO).

Kenosis: You can't eat chargers without SoPa or eating a creature of your own first. Either he quanta locks you down early or loses. Usually the former but I wouldn't advise skipping him since the outcome is usually clear by a handful of turns in. Hard, easy to 1 turn KO.

Kichomo: Batshit insane damage but fortunately lacks CC. Outcome largely depends on how fast you can get otys and a meatshield SoFo up. Medium, easy to 1 turn KO.

Loki: Can't use BH before SoFoing sancs, can't really use SoFos before eating thugs and you pretty much need a SoPa to eat thugs. Can't eat Shtrigas until they act which is nasty. Medium, easy to 1 turn KO.

Lycaon: Potentially insane damage, nightmare, antimatter, ricos, you name it. Fortunately doesn't mind giving you tons of quanta with shadling + inertia though. Hard, with AM you either 1 turn KO him or you lose (see antiaverage).

Matrix: Pretty much guaranteed to rush you before you can do anything. Ludicrously hard.

Neysa: Lacks damage, lacks CC, lacks pretty much everything. Sancs make quanta locking a PITA though. Easy (to 1 turn KO).

Nirrti: If you can't quanta lock him (which is hard because he has tons of time quanta) before he pops neurotoxin you're pretty much guaranteed to lose unless you have a purify in hand. Hard, time barrier makes 1 turn KO hard as well.

Nosferatu: Unpredictable, can throw almost anything or pretty much nothing at you. At least you can eat most of his stuff without a SoPa and quantum towers mean lots of delicious HP from black holes. Easy-Medium, inadvisable to 1 turn KO as he's loaded with wings.

Pele: Nasty rush potential and packs RTs. Medium-Hard, burrowed graboids will also interrupt your brawl (sometimes a good thing) which makes 1 turn KO hard but you can probably still get waiter.

Perses: If he gets an early pulvy and a crusader grabs it the game's pretty much over right there. Even if he doesn't wardens can delay you long enough it makes no difference. Medium-Hard, attempt neither a 1 turn KO nor waiter (unless he's quanta locked) or you'll just get blocked by debris barricades.

Sesha: Plenty of fodder for your otys and delicious rainbows for black holes. Easy (to 1 turn KO).

Suwako: It's pretty much a race on who gets the druid/oty out first, although his aether income is rather low so you might be able to stop his CC with nymphs and black holes. Druids are wimpy so brawl can help too. Medium, easy to 1 turn KO but make sure you can eat his phase shield in need.

Swamp: Tons of damage you can't recover from, shrooms are largely inedible for your otys and so many pests your otys couldn't keep up if they tried to. Hard.

Tempest: He can deck you out both through stormspike and innovation, unimpressive apart from that. Easy as long as you don't attempt a 1 turn KO, unless he's quanta locked of course.

Thetis: Squids freeze you, puffer fish are too big for your otys right off the bat and poisonous too. Hard, easy to 1 turn KO.

Tatatitat: Sooner or later he'll get a flying titan out, overdrive it and that's game over right there. Harrrrrrd.

Spoiler for Tentative skip list:
Definitely: Matrix, Swamp, Thetis, Tatatitat.
Almost definitely: Lycaon, Nirrti.
Maybe: Antiaverage.
Only if you aren't on a streak: Anubis, Halwn, Kichomo, Loki, Perses.

Some Dgs (Kenosis, Pele) are quite hard but since you can usually determine the outcome of the game 2-3 turns in I wouldn't skip them on turn 0 as they're easy 1 turn KOs.

Feel free to test and modify the deck, generally I don't like having >30 cards but I don't really want to remove anything. 6 lockets + inertias is excessive late but you REALLY want to draw both early.

In case I get bigger samples I can maintain Dg-specific statistics to improve the OUEI even further.

Ever wonder what happened if you combined upped dissipation shield with infinite quanta? This.

The Little Immovable Object That Could (Champ) (Upped)

Keep pumping rainbow quanta with the lockets since you get more total quanta that way.

Obviously completely useless against RT/spell damage. Assuming you can get enough of those out before you get driven over by a pack of wild Armagios.

Mostly this started as a joke on the ridiculous amount of quanta you can pump out through lockets and inertia. Turns out it actually works although there are far better grinders out there.

Feel free to experiment with it. I'm not convinced in the slightest armagio + overdrive is the ultimate combo, it just gets kind of hard to generate non-gravity quanta after a while and everything else dies too fast and/or doesn't deal enough damage. As a bonus you can use gpull to survive until your lolshield goes up.
