A couple deck ideas I've toyed with...

An attempt at a Golden Goose / Fate Egg deck.  I'm not sure the Midas Touch is worthwhile, though.  I might drop it for a Graviton Mercenary.

This still needs work to get the quanta generation in a good place.  That said, I tried a few things to get the scarabs to be dangerous.  Plate Armor required too much setup, Pharoah seemed too slow, and Shard of Patience seemed like a poor replacement for the deck timpa posted.  The deployer blobs seem to be an only-okay solution when we're looking at a number of 4-6 HP creatures in-list for our opponents.

This one might just be unviable.  I'm not entirely sure whether Water Pendulum is considered an "in-line" card for us, or for that matter, whether the "in-line" cards for other the other guilds are also "in-line" for us as well.  That said, don't be afraid to use mutation on your own creatures: those abominations are pretty powerful with this card restriction.

Edit 1: Lowered the number of upped cards in each deck from 7 to 6.

Edit 2: Added messages to explain edits.

Decks I faced vs serp:

- Spiritual pillar deck (centered around Reaper which is illegal)
- Envenom + Scorpion Claws (was illegal because it was gully upped, but it looked dangerous)
- Shell of void + give + Byakko (beat it with Deployer + SoPa)

I used the DBH/fate egg (I'd drop standalone eggs and add more quanta) deck and Deployer + SoPa
