Are you sure what happened here isn't:
1) Your diss shield becomes unupped
2) You have exactly enough  :entropy to block the opponent's damage (3x8) with your unupped diss shield
3) Your  :entropy reaches zero, causing the unupped diss shield to disappear
4) You happen to draw an unrelated upped diss shield on your turn
?

8 :darkness: give target creature the ability "that was a bad idea". All remaining quanta is consumed.

Upgrade: reduce cost to 7 :darkness. All remaining quanta is consumed.

My first thought was to make this :aether, to go with byte, but I figured malware/quint would be too powerful in-element. The all quanta-consumption is to prevent insta-quinting, so the targeted player can have a chance to CC the pseudo-singularity before it explodes. This is probably too powerful to be implemented anyways, as it pretty well counters any rush deck. Maybe if the cost was 99 :darkness? :P

I followed Serprex's build while attempting to compare stats to Timpa's 101 games from 9 years ago.  Why same OUEI despite being 4.5 seconds faster per game than Timpa?  Unless the cost/reward has changed, I would expect the slower damage in Timpa's deck to allow for more bond, healing, elemental mastery.  I won a lot of games on fast damage before elemental mastery.  btw- those old Commoner names: Yuriko, Billie, Margie, Tammi..
