Title: Goofy decks
Post by: BGA_NICE99 on March 08, 2024, 02:28:08 pm
I made two decks with a goofy concept that attempts to keep the opponent's element pool low.

The aim is to sustain until the end, but not to slay your foe. It seems to be a concept that counters pillarless design, tho.

Alicorn + Desert

Trident + Desert

The two above have similar features:

Variant - following the idea to sustain till the end.
Dissipation Field + Envenom

Those counter Cremation / Supernova but they do little against Dispersion + Metamorphosis, and I'm not sure they work against Georesonator.

Here's my goofy Dream Catcher deck which uses a few pillars to get started (to kick off the DisMorph) but once that's triggered it's pillarless:

Then it uses (Equal) Dispersion on your creatures and (Equal) Steal on your permanents.

Yeah, it may function less well while countering Dispersion + Metamorphosis. For Georesonator, I doubt if it counts as purely pillarless.

If I understand correctly, you steal all opponent's permanents and utilise 'Dispersion + Metamorphosis' to create an element gap, right?

This deck is about spamming 3x Dreamcatcher + Stormspike to deckout the opposition, and then using high chroma income to play all the cards Stormspike steals. Embezzle is in there just as another way to drain their deck.

Then Equalize Steal -> Dispersion or Equalize PU -> Dispersion to use their threat against them.

You can use multiple Dispersions on the same spell, so keep your Equalize'd cards in your hand. 2x DisPU means you have 3x the creatures, since it works on your own side too.
