3-leg Team PVP Event - Round 2
Locomotion with three limbs is known as tripedalism. Parrots and Kangaroos exhibit this behavior. OpenEtG players are now the third documented tripedalists.

Team and Element-use Rules:
Players unite as 2-player teams. Each team plays three best-of-5 matches each round; each match is a 'leg' that can be played by 1 of the 2 teammates. A player must play at least 1 leg/match per event round. Once per event may one team member play all 3 matches in the round (only due to scheduling/availability issues). Teams choose 1 element for each match/leg and 1 overall team element. For each match/leg, there will be a randomly assigned 'battle element' that apply to both players in the match/leg. So, for each match/leg, the player builds decks from 3 elements: (1) team element, (2) leg element, and (3) battle element. We are using a swiss-style, double elimination match format. Teammates should discuss how to manage deck building, scheduling matches, which leg(s) to play, etc.
Team name: Lodes-of-fun vs Team element: :earth Leg 1 element: :entropy Leg 2 element: :air Leg 3 element: :aether | Team name: Stacked Team element: :gravity Leg 1 element: :death Leg 2 element: :water Leg 3 element: :time |
For each leg/match, the event hosts will randomly assign a 'battle' element. Example:
Round 1 battle element for Leg 1: :life
Lodes-of-fun Leg 1 builds decks with :earth :entropy :life
Stacked Leg 1 builds decks with :gravity :death :life
Round 1 battle element for Leg 2: :light
Lodes-of-fun Leg 2 builds decks with: :earth :air :light
Stacked Leg 2 builds decks with: :gravity :water :light
Deckbuilding Rules:
Players build decks for each leg/match that consist only of cards from their 3 available elements (as noted in the above Team/element rules section). Battle elements are randomly determined before each matchup is posted. Battle elements cannot be either of the two dueling players' 'leg' element or 'team' element and will always be something else.
- Each deck may use 10 upgraded cards
- No non-ppm chroma cards
- You may change decks between games
- You may use Pillars, Pendulums, and Mark cards (ppm) quanta cards) that don't match your 3 Elements
- You must use at least 2 of your 3 Elements in each deck (If you use an element, you must use at least 4 non-quanta cards)
- You may not use the same combination of elements more than twice in a match (This refers to your 3 Elements); the trio counts as a different combo - basically there's 8 possible combos per best-of-5 match.
We've *removed* the deck examples and the 'decksize' rules from Round 1. You can have a 26 water/4 gravity cards deck or 56 water/4 gravity cards deck. As long as the gravity cards are non-ppm.
Prizes each player on team:
1st Place: 36000 Gold + Shiny Nymph Code
2nd Place: 24000 Gold + Shiny Nymph Code
3rd Place: 18000 Gold + Shiny rare Code
Participant: 12000 Gold

BigDieck 3 - 0 Hitei
I lost fair and square against BigDieck decks, afterwards we played for fun the last two games to see what happens, and where I scored two victories that only counts for morale support. :3 . Hoping to see what their team field for the next two legs.
Got manhandled by earthquakes killing the quanta base making almost impossible to rush dragons.

On this game I had to mulligan and didn't drew the jelly again to put pressure on him.

hand was okay, but the serendipities gave me chaff, which is to be expected with random effects. GG
Since we saw fire and air, we prepared against blue nymphs specifically as we didn't had reflective shields to protect against.

0-3, Game 4 and 5 were 'bonus' for 'fun'.
Slime shield proved to be op against small creature rushes. and BB took care of those nasty orochis.

To end the fifth game, I picked again the Jelly deck, this time the "combo" did happen, he never expected that if you jelly a ghost it becomes psionic. We were worried that people
would prepare against jelly rush as we had been using it a few times now, but it's still very strong.

Leg2

LWWLW
Good quanta start. Bottom half all of the meaty cards like goose/druid. Sose in top half gave little value. The only game for us with bad ‘luck’.

Debris Salvager slugging it vs. Bonewall Salvager. Realized midgame I could jelly their salvagers to bypass bw hell. Once I figured that out, I made my family proud.

2 osmosis vs 2 rage potion, which would you take in a battle?
Slightly slow start for me, too many NQs actually, 4x in the top 11 cards. Got off an early osmosis on charger (8 damage swing). Pollo led the damage race, 2 chargers, titan early then drew into debris. Basically, osmosis won the game. It found a use. Rage pot on the other hand ended up being a dead card.
024vi02505095i4025ij055io0a7gk018pj
Good draws for both players. Close, 1 turn from win.
0255t0256d0b5i4015ia045io0a7gk018pl
Good draw for me. It seems discord really messaged with pollo, mixing quanta to not fire/death and sh. of sacrifice burning that quanta. Later it was a tough call on when to use shard of sacrifice. Basically, guess if the card i was holding my hand was the 2nd discord or one of 3 jellies that would burst damage to negate sh.ofsac barrier? He guessed jellies but it was the discord.
Ggs and good leg.

Leg 3
Lucky 7 (3-2) BigPollo
He quickly had 2 Red nymphs and deflagged first vagger. 2nd Vagger chipped a bit. Yoinks basically won the game, taking away 2 bolts. Was able to flood board later with saders and a dragon for double rage bait. Close game.
045l8025mq025lf015m1065ll015la025vb025up037jo017la037jt037tb018pt
Faced Ragebolt again. This time, good start, but light on entropy quanta. Actually snuck out the win by getting 4x photon and being able to jelly with light quanta. Close game again.

My mindgate said he'd expect one of the first two decks I won with and try to stall me. Dominated by give thermal yet again -even worse.
045lt025uk01606065vi015ve065vh097t4017u4018pq
Didn't want to play one of the first two winning decks, so went with something new. Good draws for both. Interestingly, he packed holy light, which I suspect is for black nymph, but ended up useful vs. a 12 damage adrena spider. Two alchs and a goose in the top 11 cards meant I could do something. Drew enough cc to slow him down, raged own emerald dragon and won a very close match. Definitely a lucky win here, but hey we're Lucky 7.
