Anti mass CC with no mantis required?? I must have it. What if the damage effect only activates on enemy turn or once per turn? Then it remains a mass CC deterrent without being an easy otk with fractal + dry spell. Or it could just be more expensive. There's a lot of knobs to turn.

Could also call it "Mine Turtle" or something when it's upgraded cuz there are not many turtles in the game and can fit a several elements.

Anyway, I like this idea.

wow it's been a month

struggling with split ergo keyboard transition, consequently causing me to fall behind in actual work, leaving little time for oetg

implemented about half the skills in dev branch. fudging things for ease of implementation. but will be traveling for https://2024.pgconf.dev in a couple days & won't be back until June 9th

3/3|5/3 Enters play with  Web skill.

Passive skill: Whenever Formless use its skill, it changes to another skill at random but the skill cost will always be entrophy. (could be from a limited set)

Alternatives. it has no active but at the end of turn it will apply a "random skill" to a random card in play/hand.

Are you sure what happened here isn't:
1) Your diss shield becomes unupped
2) You have exactly enough  to block the opponent's damage (3x8) with your unupped diss shield
3) Your  reaches zero, causing the unupped diss shield to disappear
4) You happen to draw an unrelated upped diss shield on your turn
