Title: Why I haven't nerfed SoR
Post by: serprex on December 28, 2014, 01:59:25 am
SoR in oetg has found a place in fast stallbreakers. Something about these stallbreakers: they aren't stally

RT finds itself as a very dommy CC. It isn't useful to stalls. It isn't particularly useful to stallbreakers

This makes these two powerful cards contribute to decks which I feel could use a competitive edge in a deckpool where stalls are so prevalent

Arguably RT makes stalls better, since it strikes fear into any "deck with creatures". So I still feel it should cost more, but I want to think about that more

& maybe a world where monotime is a real threat isn't too bad

edit RT nerfed

i hate RT and i always will. i believe it should be 3|2 since it essentially doubles the cost of any card, blocks drawing for a turn and removes any buffs from said target which makes it arguably better than lightning, which is balanced. lightning has a limit to what it can kill, RT does not (excluding immortals). as stated previously, it blocks the next draw, and is unaffected by sanc. which makes it better than nightmare in some cases.

and eternity is even worse
