Can't you just hear the theme song from Yu-Gi-Oh? ;)
So I know, its not necessarily good to give every deck access to easy CC like this.
On the other hand, you are getting quite a draw back compared to other CC methods.
1) You have to pay your weapon's cost, so for anything other than non-rare weapons this is going to be expensive.
2) You might break your weapon. This is thematic... you're dueling with the weapon after all, so melee weapons might not fair so well.
3) Whatever you hit gets to hit back too... so dueling dragons may be dangerous.

Other notes
-Shields are ignored. Take it like a man grown elemental and quit whining.
--Reflective shields are the exception... if you duel a player wielding a mirror shield with a wand its your own fault if you die.
-Weapon breakage suggestion:
--chance to break = 1 / sqrt( Weapon HPs - Opponent's strength), auto break if weapon HPs are zero or are less than opponent's attack... nice sidebuff to titans, hammers, and ranged weapons.
