D2D 5 - 3 Terroking

GGs, mate.

Spoiler for G1:
095aa0659b055ce045c60678q018pn

He was on minomares, which would have been great for me had I been able to set up... alas, I never drew a fungus. 0-1
Spoiler for G2:
0c5i4035i8015ia025ib025io045lu027gr027gp027n2018pq

This was a free win. I assume his deck could do more than just play a single jack-o-lantern, but he elected not to show me. 1-1
Spoiler for G3:
01l8s0d5jm035ic035ib045ie0677a018pm

He used an UG deck, but I had trident and he had no quanta as a result. 2-1
Spoiler for G4:
095aa0659b055ce045c60678q018pn

I really wanted to win with this deck, but it was not to be. He countered me well with SoP wardens and was already set up by the time I had my combo. 2-2
Spoiler for G5:
0658u0359f095f0045gi025f6067dq018pm

This one was really close. We were both playing hyper aggressive rushes. I would have had exact lethal with boomstick, but he had a nice deflag topdeck to clinch the win. 2-3
Spoiler for G6:
065940458o0f5aa055m6035lm015li0377c037k2018pq

Went with the Immortal. He was on Mitogolems and had an early boomstick+mitosis. I never drew any shields, and stood no chance. 2-4
Spoiler for G7:
04590045930a58o025aa035rk01lrk0277g0477a018ps

Had a 7 pillar hand and mulled into 6 pillars, but I can't really afford to go to lower. This was pretty much a free win once I drew a few creatures since he was on SoR-Steam Machines, which gets destroyed by RT. 3-4
Spoiler for G8:
0352q0552r0c5pu045oi025on035oh035ol018pk

I was expecting a slower creature deck like SoP again, and got my wish with a material NT deck. I was hoping for Shockwaves/Tstorms, as they would've let me kill his threats easily while I hid behind BW, but alas, instead I drew all 6 weapons and no animates until I had basically already lost. 3-5

Earth / Buff Sinkhole/Tunneling
« on: March 19, 2015, 10:13:19 am »
I don't know if anyone thinks these cards are good, but I certainly don't see it. Sinkhole is mildly annoying sometimes when grinding champs but really lacks any sort of oomph to actually put it in a deck. Tunneling likewise.

Here are some proposed buffs for one or both cards:

Sinkhole, 4 :earth cost, permanent
:earth: Target creature is burrowed. Replace creature's skills with 0:unburrow.

Tunneling, 5 :earth cost, permanent
Your burrowed creatures deal double damage and bypass shields.

Sinkhole, 9 :earth cost, spell
Kill all creatures that are stronger than they are large.
(A very powerful spell, that works thematically, but has a lot of restrictions and is very poor in some matchups. Could also work as a single target 3/2 cost paradox spell, or be changed to affect only the opponent/target player)

Tunneling, 4 :earth cost, permanent
Your burrowed creatures bypass shields
:earth :earth: Target creature is burrowed. Replace creature's skills with 0:unburrow
(Alternatively it could spawn antlions or something, call it tunnel nest/network maybe.)

The costs aren't really a big deal and should probably be adjusted, concept is the important part.

After the cycle is done, can we have shark of shanks or shark of shards or shard of shank sharks.

But lockets can't be just technically better than pillars/towers, they must have at least a little drawback (not generating on play)

Yeah, in my example they basically function as a full turn behind a pillar/tower. The same way they do now, but with changed implementation on the unupped version (the upped is already fine imo).

Instead of costing 1 to play and producing a quanta on turn 1, the unupped could start without any element making nothing turn 1, the same effectiveness as the current version, and only start producing on the second turn, when you use it's ability and give it a target.

AI used corpse explosion on a photon when I had no creatures out.
Soul Catchers? Boneyard? Vulture?

Not that I can recall, but serp said it may have been to reduce hand size and allow for 2x draw, which I believe was likely the case.

metamorphosis could do with the same buff
^Definitely, I think morph needs the buff more than locket actually.

Yeah, especially unupped, morph is practically useless, though locket is still pretty good. Meta's problem is that effectively it sacs a pillar for a new one, so the instant effect has to make the card worth it (Either more quanta or something different, a card draw maybe?).

Other options for buffing:
Meta is free unupped, generates 2/3 quanta
Locket is free unupped, doesn't generate any quanta until you use it, upped stays as-is (This makes it more synonymous with pillars/towers)

AI was smart and tried to buff my creature to block it with gravy shield, but the buff was momentum.

AI used corpse explosion on a photon when I had no creatures out.
