Loses to a ton, but so fun when it wins. Get a cat-embezzle combo out early and get opponent cards down to about 15-18 cards remaining. Then with SoB and CC combos, you can mill them out in a single turn. Playing SOB early depends on opponents deck and their quanta. If they have the potential to play a single creature, then SOB early is good. If SOB gives them more rushing power, try to hold off for a final combo. In rare cases, where you are overquanta on dark and not getting your key cards, cast embezzle on opponent creature.

I hijacked https://etg.dek.im/forum/index.php?topic=979 to be a general entrypoint for millcat strategies. Black Magic is specifically about immo combo, since immo here is used as if some dark sacrificial ritual

So, would the new shield's sacrificing count as black magic?

Forgot to reply earlier, was going to test out combos per your lead but got side tracked. 'Black Magic' was one of those decks I found in my early oetg days before knowing the landscape of decks including 'millcat'. Black Magic is really a variant of 'millcat'. Now, I would know to post the deck to the main millcat thread as a 'variant'.
Thematically, I would consider black magic beyond the immo+embezzled cat combo. But then to further define it, it probably needs to be darkness + fire vs. something like plaguecats. I like Wicked, Immo, and Cat serving as a the core for black magic, with or without embezzle.
Given embezzle nerf, moving millcat towards other deck type with mill as splash element is likely needed. Keep exploring. I'll get back to this 'favorite' deck at some point.
