The idea is pretty straight forward, give up a card you don't need or that you can't use due to lack of quanta and get back two pillars matching that card's element.
Should help out a bit in avoiding quanta issues due to bad draws. Also has a lot of potential synergy with mindgate.

In the wording "non-pillar" is meant to exclude towers, pendulums and pillars (not just strictly pillars).
