Even in vanilla ghostmare struggled against heavy CC for example (lightning and shockwave take down a single ghost for almost no cost. Same for GP if you don't mind losing some damage). Also, you are screwed if your opponent uses mainly
EtG is and always will be a rock paper scissors type of game
G1 dev quake L (denial was not enough to stop phoenixbolt) G2 phoenixbolt #37 L (bottomdecked all my phoenixes) G3 mono death W (BW MVP) G4 free owls W (hardcountered pixies) G5 pixiegon W (lucky OE topdeck vs Sopa Wardens)
Spoiler for vs Turlu:
G1 free owls L (bobbit does a number on this deck) G2 mono death W (I think it was a mirror match) G3 pixiegon W (started with dragons to bait CC) G4 phoenixbolt #37 W (deflag kept his stall under control) G5 boom L (since I had won the match I decided to give this a shot)
Spoiler for vs BD:
G1 mono death L (got run over) G2 free owls L (I thought I had this, but it was just because I didn't understand how his deck worked) G3 SoPa wardens W (he played a gas deck, that's all I remember) G4 pixiegon L (outrushed) G5 phoenixbolt #37 L (he correctly burst to get around my control)
Spoiler for vs Plein:
I don't quite remember if the games were in this order, I only marked the decks used in my list for this one G1 pixiegon L (wicked shield kept me at bay) G2 free owls L (outrushed by the epidemic deck) G3 phoenixbolt #37 W (this was the G1 matchup but reversed - I didn't need to activate my wicked shield because I was the beatdown) G4 mono death L (insanelly close, it came down to his fog hax saving him in the final turn) G5 SoPa wardens W (as I suspected, that stasis deck is not that good)
