Shouldn't be able to target player directly. Should have to setup creatures to be targeted
CG's argued this point twice; I'm leaving this thread here to make it less of a things-you-only-know-if-youve-been-lurking-chat-forever
Throw Rock is arguably OP as anti-deckout (nevermind the CC draw denial that makes it 2:1 whenever the opponent draws a rock they can't play)
It only requires a source of 1
per turn, whereas Eternity requires a creature to bounce & 3
per turn
If your opponent has innovation/sobr, then you need sanctuary or else they will mill you. Eternity can drawlock self before you fall within mill range. Throw Rock will eventually land at the bottom of your deck
Throw Rock is also less useful before it takes on anti deckout. Whereas eternity be used to stall out the game & destroy opponent's buffs, Throw Rock cannot be cast if the opponent will have some way to use it themselves to avoid deckout (also you won't be able to use further unless opponent throws back, so using means giving up anti deckout)
If opponent has burn card you have to throwrock yourself immediately whenever you draw it
