Can't chat in the middle of a match

Apparently, the game steals my shortcut letters when I'm trying to chat while playing a match. So I cant type numbers or the shortcut letters (after clicking on the chat box).
Is this fixable?

Yes, probably just need to check target or something in onkeydown of views/Match
