Element: :aether
Cost: 2 :aether
Type: Spell

Effect (unupgraded): Generate a rectifier bridge which converts 7 of target owner's quanta not of target's element to that of target's element each turn, self-destructing if it cannot do so.
Effect (upgraded): Generate a rectifier bridge which converts 9 of target owner's quanta not of target's element to that of target's element each turn, self-destructing if it cannot do so.

An aether spell for persistent quantum conversion. To avert the possibility of using Rectifier as an adaptive quantum source, the effect is intentionally inflexible. The targeting is one-shot, the generated permanent only stops its quantum conversion effect when destroyed, and the permanent self-destructs if it cannot perform its conversion.

The card is designed to have effects for targeting both sides. On your own side, it is designed to combine with varied quantum sources to form an efficient single-element quantum generation system. On the opponent's, it is designed to interfere with decks which use more than one element by causing an imbalance in the opponent's quantum supply, causing shortages of a particular elements.

So it's a permanent, not a spell (for the description).

Mechanically: serprex, is double targetting possible?

I'm afraid it may be actually TOO versatile as a card. You play the first 2 quantum pillars and have :aether mark (3 pillars to be 100% sure). The first Bridge you can use it on a card of yours (7 quanta per turn in 3 cards) and with the other one you drain your foe for some turns.

Unupgraded: Bridge + 3 Quantum Pillars makes the hell of a quantum source for any element. The only disadvantage would be having to play the bridge after the 3rd pillar (a couple of turns later if you have 2).

Yet, the mechanic and card is very interesting and sounds fun, so if serp wants to implement it I would gladly test some stuff, and we can see later if it's too OP it can be nerfed.

Rectiifier is the one-shot targeting spell. It targets a creature/permanent, and the player affected is taken to be the owner of that target.

Rectifier bridge is an unobtainable permanent with an each-turn active effect, generated using rectifier.

Previous experience with effect amplifier type cards indicate that they should be costed much less than what they typically give back. Having to dig all parts of the combo up from the deck and play them is surprisingly expensive. And here, the combo is rather fragile, as it suffers greatly from quantum denial, permanent control, or just moderately lopsided draws which most other decks can just shrug off at just a tempo loss.

Similarly, denial should cost much less than what it typically denies the opponent. Here, the denial is useless if the opponent runs a mono deck, and cannot be used for denial hardlocks, as rectifier bridges will stop working permanently if they try to convert when the opponent's quanta is already monoized. Besides, the effect is to funnel quanta towards an element which in most cases is one that the opponent can spend, even if just a bit.

Ah so you can't just choose one element of your deck for your opponent, that's nice.
Then I guess it's fine for me
