i tested it a bit and for 9  :earth and 18  :earth in my quanta pool i have... a diamond shield. I understand at one point, u get 10 or 11 damage reduction but for getting at that point u probably get killed or u control the board is pretty much gg.

The combo hope + rol required a lot of setup, but hope was also immaterial; there is PA or gaian but is already frustating build a 50 quanta reserve, they require a slot in the deck and gaian  :aether. Dims blocks every attack and there is also the regrade option. There is some sort of powercreep in oetg and some mechanics can't really handle, damage reduction, if not paired with an ability is one of these. For example, plague mask has a very strong ability other than the damage reduction. Even the way gravity shield was buffed is good enough, still not strong but at least it has another ability.

Since thematically it will fit, if i have for example 4 damage reduction and my opponent use explosion or steal, can i lose a stack (from 4 i have 3) and lose 9 quanta? Is a weird hybrid between diss shield, bone wall and diamond shield. Frailty in this way will be the strongest cc card against stonewall. If shuffled with tornado, the stack will simply be removed and disappear with the 9 or 18 quanta.

If not this anything additional will work, like lose 9  :earth from your quanta pool to summon throw a rock. It will be also cool being able to totally block the catapult damage, different from spell damage but if i remember catapult is the only card to do that kind of damage.

as always this is what i think of a card, feel free to keep it as it is

I have had very good results vs champs with the deck below. Ironically, I was going to post a similar analysis about how underwhelming Stonewall is, but then I decided to give it another try to make sure. I proved myself wrong.

yes the only way to use it is in mono  :earth

something like this is totally match up fish, your opponent does not have cc = u win, first cc on an adrenalined gnome is a loss

0677e04783037850d8080480i018pu

this compared to rol hope has some plus, like if u get a t-storm, you lose your gnomes but not your quanta pool, u can still rebuild your army. Gaian work for PA and as a finisher but the light dragon of rol hop works a lot better. Still a little match up fish but better than adrenagnomes

Stonewall was added to amp up Stoneskin stalls which had enough trouble in original, whereas in oetg stalling has way more threats to deal with. It's probably best paired with a mix of other shields, Golem Defender works well being both slightly op & being able to provide value emptying slot

I try to avoid power creep by having cards be a bit underwhelming, Stonewall is definitely meant to cement a lead which in oetg is harder to do (ie, in oetg there's generally pressure to execute win condition rather than click end turn until opponent decks out)

There's also a lack of effectiveness blocking damage since there's so much bypass in the meta, & so many infinite block strategies already, but like any shield the strength of the deck is going to come down to what's being put in as a wincon. Stonewall doesn't take much deck space if your other cards also want lots of :earth or pa. I also wanted to make sure Stonewall doesn't make Diamond obsolete (which it definitely hasn't, tho maybe Golem Defender already did that)

One upside is that if Stonewall gets stolen it's probably nothing for opponent, but stalls don't usually care about opposing dr anyways

tried this and maybe is the best so far, the nymph helps a lot mid game to block threats until stonewall becomes effective
