  • unupgraded: " :air : Move target weapon to a permanent slot. In 3 turns, it will self-destruct. Auto-casts on a repaced weapon for free."

There are a lot of ways to turn a weapon into a creature, but it would be interesting to have a way to move a weapon to another permanent slot temporarily instead.

Mechanics wise, this card allows a player to continue using a weapon for 3 more turns after they replace it with a different weapon. After that, the weapon disappears as usual.
In the case of a weapon that has a limited life span (like firebrand) the countdown will simply be retained (not set to 3).

For the purpose of having multiple weapons in play at once, it is more cost effective just to cast a new weapon and let the auto trigger cast the effect for free. If targeted manually, the effect can serve as a slow anti-weapon PC on a stick or as a means to send an animated weapon into a permanent slot. For instance, it could prevent a heavily poisoned weapon from dying at the end of the turn.
