Buff Neurotoxin (creature targeting)

So right now, neurotoxin only affects players. There is really not much point in having multiple in a deck other than getting one earlier, which is kind of annoying for a spell effect.
It would be neat if the effect could target creatures as well.
A creature with neurotoxin on it would get +1 poison anytime the owner activates its ability.

Simple subtle buff, but adds some utility for dealing with annoying growers, etc...
Could also be very intersting in gravity or voodoo decks.

Increment poison when the owner draws a card, that would be neat.
Voodoo and Matyr (so far) have direct synergies.

I would like to propose a buff to Neurotoxin's effect on creatures that would prevent Epidemic OTKs while still allowing Rustler to work even when poisoned.


I know serprex has mentioned possibly having Neurotoxin silence creatures after an ability use, which does stop the otk.


I was thinking about creatures that are Neurotoxin'ed will increment poison AND take poison damage for every time a skill is used. It would still allow opponents to use creatures abilities, but create interesting situations if youd want to buff Lava Golems, Forest Spirits, and Steam Machine, or use tanky creatures with strong effects such as Fire Nymph.

I think neurotoxin should be buffed in a way to directly poison the opponent if some criterias are met, like

  • poison the opponent if he added 3 or more cards in is hand last turn (sinergy with rewind and not only drawed cards, can be triggered by using innovation on your opponent, punish fractal and scattering wind)
  • poison the opponent if you drawed 4 or more cards last turn
  • poison the opponent if was attacked more than 10 times last turn (sinergy with hognose, deja vu, adrenaline)
and so on, so there is chance to trigger the neurotoxin counter without being forced to play  :death or any other element while still requiring support from other card.

 Create a more all around card to softly cc when there is rewind makes no sense. Another card that comes to mind is basilisk blood, which was one of the best cc cards in etg. Card is dead for 6 turns, can be countered with adrenaline. With the (new) neurotoxin the card can be (maybe) dead in 3 or 4 turns. Liquid shadow is another poison + lobo card that is borderline, except when used by dark nymph
