Maybe this will give players something to do when they get a shield as the card of the day
For stacked shields, all stacks get absorbed.
This creature's DR gets added to whatever DR is on the shield already.
In the case of shields like bonewall, when the charges get used up, the ability should simply get removed (i.e. stops absorbing attacks and won't generate any more shield charges). The DR should be calculated to see if an attack is stopped before absorbing a charge.
Intercept works slightly differently from gravity pull. The target's attack gets redirected to the Nephilim regardless of whether or not the target has momentum or does spell damage. The effect also takes priority over gravity pull.
If multiple Nephilim target the same creature, only the last one to target that creature intercepts the attack.
Note that because the Nephilim must target a creature with this ability, burrowed and immaterial creatures will be immune.
Similarly, cloak would prevent this ability from being used.
Lastly, you could also use nephilim to intercept your own creatures. Thats somewhat of a niche use but it could be useful against AM, SoSa or to prevent unwanted interactions with opponent's shield.
