A simple georesonator based rush with stall. It can probably use some tweaking but the theme is there.
I went with spiders because they are a good compromise on cost and stats.
Large enough to not be easy otyugh fodder but low cost enough to get rolling in decent time.

Many variants and addins are possible. E.g. Stoneskin for longevity vs larger opponents, mix up creatures (add dragons maybe?) etc.

Does the earth quanta do anything at all? It doesn't seem like it, but I may be missing something. Forgive me if this is a dumb question, I'm new to the game.

I think it's filler for your own stuff to use, like how he mentioned Stone Skin

I'd use just life quanta and maybe a dissipation field (to use the quanta pillars you'll end up getting as defense) instead of the earth quanta. More mitosis would be nice too for a better draw chance and faster ramp.
