Before I move on and forget, and wanted to give a shoutout to some of the more interesting decks submitted (and their authors):
Spoiler for Hidden:
BGA_NICE99
— The singularity combo is really neat. A bit too luck-reliant and too easy to counter for a tournament setting, but must be fun to grind with.

BigDieck
— I'm glad I wasn't the only one who tried the great maul / dull khopesh combo! I'm sure that combo has a lot of potential, it's only a matter of finding the right shell for it.
— The gravity shield deck would have probably been more appealing as an earth/gravity duo, but kudos for thinking outside the box.

Hitei
— The chimera scythe combo is another really cool one, I think the deck needs fine-tuning but could be the next big thing.

Niharia
— The material bomb deck was my favourite to actually play, I regret only picking it once during the event. I might actually steal it and add it to my saved decks rotation, if you don't mind :-p.

Septima Rhay
— The mantis deck is neat, but strongly lacking in aether quanta. I often found myself needing 4-5 each turn, but only have 1-2 available. Just letting you know :-p.

Elemensch
— Since you have already requested help to improve your cardinal deck, my advice would be to 1) actually have something to do with your aether quanta, 2) either get rid of the scorpion-momentum combo or focus the deck on it, since the two halves of the deck (goose-wand & scorpion-momentum) don't synergize well together.

pimpollo
— Thank you for submitting an immorush, I love immorushes.
Well done not-Hitei for your victory :-)

I wish I could define a deck specifically for each matchup

Originally considered this as a deckbuilding + pvp tourney combo, thematically linked, not structurally linked.  What you wish for could work well in a pvp tourney..each player with a unique fixed card pool, build decks/make adjustments based on the opponent.  For db comp, keeping it simpler for battle royale...line em up and smash.

Edit: if players like the sealed pack concept for pvp tourney, we can plan one later on.

Opened player packs posted in original post.

Would anyone like to be a pvp simulation pilot for the battle royale? You can submit a deck and still pilot; we'll work it out that you play your own decks in matches.  I will serve by default as one of the pilots.  But if 2 other players feel excited to do that let me know.  Considering a video replay of matches with audio commentary.
